FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Announcement

NJH&LA Update
December 5, 2004 --

The state of New Jersey will be facing difficult budget challenges in 2005.  The anticipated budget shortfall is estimated at over $4.0 billion.  There will be movement to increase taxes including occupancy taxes in order to compensate for the lack of revenues.  We will require your support in order to prevent any increase in our current tax structure.

The Governor's race promises to be very intriguing with the recent announcement of Senator Corzine’s intentions of entering the race.

The Annual Unity Luncheon will be in the first quarter of 2005 at the Hilton in East Brunswick.  We will notify you of the specific date once it is confirmed.

As the year of 2004 comes to an end I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members for their support and wish each of you a healthy holiday season.

We are looking forward to a prosperous 2005!   Click Here for Link to NJH&LA News Letter
